An Old Wish

“And thanks to Rudolph and his red nose lighting the way, Santa was able to see through the fog and snow and was able to deliver the presents to all the people in time for Christmas” read an elderly woman as she shut a brown old book.
“Thanks for reading that to me Grandma” smiled a young blonde girl.
“No problem Callie my dear, now you better get some sleep as Santa’s on the way” smiled the elderly woman as she put the book on the shelf.

Callie snuggled tightly under her duvet and looked out of the window as the snow began to fall, deep down she wished that she could one day help Santa.

“15 years later”

Callie was all grown up now but she still had the Christmas spirit and still believed in Santa but never told anyone about that. The snow had fall heavily for the whole day and she was crunching it beneath her black winter boots as she headed home from getting the last bits of Christmas shopping as today was Christmas Eve and tomorrow was Christmas.

Light flakes of snow began to fall as she walked up her doorsteps and into her house, she popped the handful of bags filled with wrapping paper and food as she untied and pulled her feet out of her winter boots. She shivered slights as she took off her thick white fur coat and hung it up on the coat rack.

She smiled as she walked into the living room to see her stocking hanging above the fire place.
“Hello Callie” came a voice from behind.
Callie jumped as she turned round to see a small elf in a green outfit sitting in the large leather arm chair opposite the fire place.
“Who...” she began.
“Forgive me, but I’m here on behalf of someone very special” smiled the elf.
“Santa?” she quizzed.
“Yep” smiled the elf, “he asked me to come here and take you up on your wish or offer whatever you would call it”
Callie smiled as she remembered the wishes she made every year when she was a kid fifteen years ago, “What’s he need?”
“Well tonight’s meant to be the heaviest snowfall in ages and the fog is meant to be worst, poor Rudolph doesn’t think he’d be able to light the way on his own” explained the elf as a small tear glistened in his eye.

“Well i would like to help but I’m not a reindeer” she sighed,
“You could be” smiled the elf, “Via magic”
“Well...” began Callie.
“It’s only for one night and you always wished you could help Santa out” interrupted the elf.
“Ok then, for Santa” smiled Callie.
“That’s settled then” smiled the elf as he clicked his fingers, for thin air a candy cane appeared in his hands, “Fortunately it doesn’t hurt and I’ll have to be quick as every needs to ready by midnight” smiled the elf.

Callie braced herself as the elf waved the candy cane about, gold and silver glitter began to appear around Callie and lift her up off of the ground.

Callie giggled as the glitter tickled her. Slowly her feet began to reshaped, her toes fusing as her feet stretched. Her red painted nails darkening and coating her fusing toes to give them more of a hoof like. Her legs reshaped as her muscle became tougher and stronger. Her arms became more toned as her arm muscles turned into leg muscles whilst her fingers fused together, her big toes and thumbs receding into her hands.

Like her toenails, her fingernails coated her fusing fingers. A small tufted tail grew out of her spine as the golden removed her dress turning it into white flakes of glitter, her back muscles developed as her chest grew bigger, her lugs expanding and insides morphing and changing to became reindeer parts. Her blonde hair retracted into her head as a thick layer of brown fur pushed through her skin.

Her neck thickened as her face broadened, her nose flattening and fusing two nostrils to her top lip and together with her bottom lip they pulled outwards into a muzzle her tongue thickening and teeth growing bigger.

The final finishing touch was her antlers pushing through her forehead, slowly and gently the glitter lowered her down onto all fours. And the white, silver and gold glitter flew into her nose giving it that red glow native to Rudolph.

“That was weird” she sighed as the elf jumped on to her back and with a click of his fingers they disappeared. And later that night Rudolph and Callie helped pull the sleigh through the foggy and snowy night.
It's Christmas eve and Santa and Rudolph need some help so they turn to a girl who always wished to help Santa out in anyway she can. Magical enhanced and changed Callie finds her wish coming true in this Christmas tale.
